Splash of Colour!

Alright boys and girls aside from getting a flawless face I think its also important to add a little colour to those luscious lips! Its a really simple way to add some life to your face and cute way to add some colour in this depressing weather we've been having! I personally find that I gravitate to colours based on my mood that day. If Im feeling cute and girly I usually go for a light pink or peach. When I want to make a statement or add a little sex appeal, red, plum and burgundy are my go to colours. Two colours I am going to start wearing more of are corals and oranges I think its fresh, fun and so pretty!

My Flawless Face Essentials

Hey love bugs! I know that I have been posting nothing but OOTD posts lately so I figured its time for a change! I wanted to show you all what I use everyday to achieve a natural, flawless makeup application! There are a mix of items from drugstore to name brands and the same goes for my brushes. Having darker pigmented skin I find that it is easier to find a foundation that matches my complexion at Mac because there is such a wide range of colours with undertones that will compliment your skins natural colour. Not only is my makeup application simple but it takes about ten minutes to do! I have two shimmery highlights so if your not a fan of a dewy look than by all means just cancel those two out and go for something you like! I was thinking about posting a video to show you all what I do to achieve this look on the daily! Purple Lips

I posted a picture on instagram yesterday and got a really good response because Im not usually the type to where lipstick on a day where Im staying home, but for some reason I had the urge to add a little colour! Alot of people asked what it was so I figured I would post it here for you as well. I think this colour is perfect for a sultry look; big messy tousled hair very simple eye makeup and golden glowing skin and Voila!

Lip Color:

Lipstick: Mac- Diva (matte)

Lipliner: Mac- Night Moth 

** To get an ombre effect on your lips you can also add a little bit of red lipstick (ruby woo by mac) on the centre of your bottom lip then rub together. It adds a little bit more dimension in my opinion and gives a really cool effect!** 

Love Me Some New Shoes!

Today's outfit is comfy and cute at the same time. I wanted to wear shoes other than uggs in this cold weather because I am so tired of slouchy, salt stained boots that don't match anything, am i right!?! Anyways I was bored cruising around the mall last week and went into Aldo to find these adorable wedged sneakers, they also come in black but I wanted something I would be able to wear into the spring/summer seasons. Let me just start by saying they are oh so comfy! For a girl like me who has big and wide feet shopping at stores like Aldo where the great majority of their customers range from size 6 to 9 can be a bit scary and disappointing. Almost 9 times out of 10 I go into the stores pick something out and its never available in the size or colour I want. So when I found these bad boys obviously I had to buy them, its like the unwritten rule for my big foot girls out there.. if the shoe fits, buy it in EVERY colour! so on to my ootd, everything you need is listed below, so until my next post ladies and gents xo!

So last night I went to a last minute Raptors game (against the Chicago Bulls) with the bestie and I took a quick snap of my 'fit! Although I love wearing my blacks and greys I'm beginning to think I need to add some colour to my wardrobe! So with that being said my next ootd is going to have a pop of colour! Any suggestions or future predictions on what colours will be trending for Spring 2014?! Well I cant wait to find out! This year I will be attending Toronto Fashion Week and I am oh so excited. I will be going with my sister and future business partner so I will definitely keep you posted because I already know I will need to document any potential outfit ideas for each event! Flower Power OOTD

Hey Boys & Girls 

I know I've been a little m.i.a from my blog lately but for good reason I promise! Last week I had the amazing opportunity to go to NYC for fashion week with my best friend. It was freezing cold the entire time but we made so many memories that weekend and I already can't wait to go back! We did all the regular tourist attractions; statue of liberty, empire state building, brooklyn bridge and central park. So much walking but I guess now my legs will look even better in heels. I came back on monday evening and then celebrated my 23rd birthday on wednesday the 12th! Now its valentines day and in the spirit of love day I thought I'd share this cute and girly ootd. The shoes are a little cold for this type of weather so you can easily switch them up for a closed toe bootie!

Plaid in the City!

Hey Ladies & Gents

There's a trend that I've been noticing both on celebs and the people I see in the city from day to day and its the plaid shirt worn on your hips! I loved the outfit I posted a few days ago with that concept so I made my own version and added the leather jacket and NY snapback for a totally relaxed but kind of street look. Tell me what you think of it..and how are we feeling about the same look but with a denim long sleeve instead of the plaid?? Let me know because I think that's next on my list!

Food for Thought

Hey loves, 

Last night I went to a Thai Restaurant here in Toronto called The Terrace Restaurant attached to the Elmwood Spa. If you're looking for a little R n' R and a mouth watering meal for afterwards this is for you! They had a set 4 course menu and everything I chose was delicious, fresh and full of flavour. Here's a pic to show you what I ordered, these are just the appetizers because the main courses were too good to wait and take a picture lol. Anyways I definitely recommend this restaurant, it has a nice ambiance for a date or just a trendy feel for a girls night bar side.
